A Good Steward

I will be the first to say that I am guilty of trying to keep up with the Jones’s. But then, I check my bank account and come back to reality real quick. Lol! Honestly, though there have been times where I have spent money that I really shouldn’t have to look good on the outside, while my savings account suffered. I will be the first to admit that I have been horrible about properly using my money. I am just now trying to focus on saving, investing, and paying down debt. I have big dreams, and I know you all do too. I am a firm believer that God will not give you more when you can’t do right with what you already have. Sheesh….that’s hard to chew, I know.

One of my goals is to leave Ohio, quick, fast, and in a hurry. I have always wanted to move away as long as I can remember. And to do so, I have to be a good steward of my monies. Learning to be a good steward is hard. Saying no is hard. I want all the things, and sometimes I am not willing to wait, and being a fashion blogger, makes it ten times worse. There is always a new bag, a pair of heels, or a sparkly dress in my shopping cart. I guess as long as it stays in my shopping cart and doesn’t make it to checkout, I’ll be ok.

As we approach a new year I’ve been thinking about some words to focus on for the months ahead and two come to mind, Discipline, and Consistency. I think we all could use a little help in one if not both of these areas. I want to challenge you all to be better stewards in whatever areas of your life that could be just a little be better.

What are some ways you can become a better steward in your life?
