I have been sending everyone I know a link of Michael Todd’s (Pastor of Transformation Church) newest sermon series, Crazy Faith. I don’t know about you but, sometimes life’s ups and downs can test your faith. And a lot of times through the testing you become weary. It’s not to the point of giving up, but you begin to question your journey, your path, and God’s promises for your life.
Listening to this message put some things in perspective for me. I realized that I have to be all in with my faith or not at all. Pastor Todd says you have to put your weight on it, meaning, you have to have an “all or nothing” mentality. The definition of hope is a feeling of expectation, a desire for a certain thing to happen. I’m sure many of you have prayed for certain things that you want God to do in your life or someone else’s. I am here to remind you that he hasn’t forgotten about you, nor can he go back on his word.
His timing isn’t our timing. That in and of itself can be very frustrating. We as humans want things when we want them, but he knows best. He knows when we need, what we need. I know it’s hard not to look at the clock and wonder if he’s ignoring you. He’s not, and this message was the exact reminder that I needed. My mom used to always say, “you’ll understand it better by and by”. Meaning, it may make zero sense why he has you where he does at this very moment. But soon, you will understand the reason for your trial, your tribulation, the wait.
