This year, I can’t lie, my Christmas music has been getting played a bit more than last Christmas. My favorite Christmas movie, “Home Alone” has been in heavy rotation. I can’t wait to get home everyday to plug up my Christmas tree and enjoy the lights. I love seeing the ornaments shine bright, the beautiful wrapping paper, and gift bags under the tree. My husband asked me the other day, “Why are you in such a Christmas mood this year? I mean, not that you weren’t last year or the year before that. It’s just extra noticeable this year.” I told him that I’m just grateful, I’m thankful!

Last year I didn’t have it to give. I couldn’t do for others and those in my family like I wanted too. I love watching the excitement on the faces of those I love when they see what I’ve given them. Not only am I grateful to be able to give, I’m grateful for those times that I couldn’t. It has shown me that no matter how big or little the gift is, it truly is the thought that counts. I know that sounds “cliche”. But really, it is! I’ve also learned to have an appreciation for the memories and the times shared with those I love more than anything!
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! Eats lots, laugh hard, and create amazing memories!
