Sneakers aren’t’t for everybody. Some women
prefer to stick with heels or a cute pair of flats and leave the sneakers for
the gym. Ever since I can remember, I have always loved a cute sneaker. In high
school I would clean my sneakers weekly and ever so gently line them up along
the wall in my bedroom. Oh and please, do not step on my new shiny white air
force ones (fresh out of the box) because we were going to have words. Yep it
was that deep to me. Now days I would say I only own maybe five pairs of
sneakers compared to my 25 plus pair back then. Sneakers have evolved so much
since my high school years. Whatever kind of style that you like, low top, high
top, plain ole white sneakers or sneakers with designs, there is something out
there that will be sure to tickle your fancy. I also love the many ways that
you can be creative with the way you style your sneakers. Wearing my sneakers with pencil skirts has to
be my favorite way to style them. It’s the perfect way to be tomboy
chic. Check out below why I love each sneaker shown and how I would pair them
with items in my wardrobe.
not even going to lie; I was not hip to Huarache’s until I heard my brother-in-law
raving about a pair that he wanted so badly. This shoe is comfy and stylish.
This is the perfect shoe to pair with a pencil skirt or a skater with a big
over sized sweater and statement necklace.
thought I was completely done with Air Force Ones. I vowed to never ever buy
another pair as long as I live. You know they say “never say never” right? I
have gone back and forth about my feelings towards these sneakers for months
now. I have finally decided that could totally rock these. They would be
perfect with skinny jeans and an over sized leather motorcycle jacket.
me tell you, my love for Pharrell is real! Everything about his style is
appealing to me. So when I found out that he would be collaborating with
Adidas, I had to check out the line. Low and behold he created some Stan Smith
(you guys know how much I love my Stan Smith’s) sneakers in new fun bright
colors that are amazing to say the least! So I’m asking myself, now do I need
another pair in a pretty new color?
is her second collaboration with Reebok on a sneaker. Although her first pair
was my favorite, this pair is just as cute plus they glow in the dark. I get
totally excited about that kind of stuff! I am a huge fan of anything Ms.
Ehasni brings to the table. She is so funky and eclectic. If you don’t know who
she is, Google her! This is another shoe that I would rock with a pencil skirt.
is one of those shoe brands that people don’t really write home about. You
can take them or leave them. I actually secretly like puma sneakers (Shhh! don’t tell!). Solange Knowles
recently did collaboration with the brand and I had to have a pair or the
colorful sneakers, which were much like her own personal style. Blush is one of
my favorite colors so when I saw this sneaker by designer Sophia Chang, I fell
in love. They are so pretty and sleek. They don’t have too much going on so
they can be rocked with almost anything. Pair them with some boyfriend jeans
and a blazer for a menswear inspired look.
is probably the most comfortable shoe that has ever touched my foot. I own two
pairs of Roshe’s
and I plan on purchasing more. This is the perfect sneaker to purchase if you aren’t
really a sneaker person. You can wear these with skirts, skinny jeans, and
more. I plan on rocking my army fatigue pair with my riding pants and over sized
sweaters this fall and winter.
7. Nike Air Max
Max sneakers are classic. Nike has come out with several styles as well as
color ways of this shoe over the years. I know I’ve owned at least 4 pair in my
life time. Although not as comfortable as the Roshe (to me), they are still
very much cute. I am a big fan of metallic anything and these shoes are no
exception. Pair them with a skater dress
and a distressed denim jacket for the perfect look.
as you can see I really have a love for sneakers! Do you have a favorite pair
of sneakers? What are your thoughts on my current faves?
