This past week Fashion to Figure reached out to me to come up with three looks that I would wear during the fall using their pieces. Immediately I thought, ok let me find the most "non-clingy" pieces that I can find on this website. But then something said, try something new! Try something that you never would have tried before. I pondered on it, changed my outfit ideas a few times, and then I did it. I clicked send. And just like that, I was getting ready to step out of my comfort zone and wear something different.
Surprisingly, I loved every piece I received. Of course I had to put my own twist on it because I will never wear anything that I hate or that makes me feel uncomfortable just for the sake of wearing it, or because a company asked me too. If it isn't me, it isn't me. And I'm ok with that. The first look doesn't include a body-con dress but rather a body suit. A bodysuit......with the snaps between the legs. Wait.... that means my stomach and my curves will be out there for the world to see. Yep! I put it on with some skinny jeans and I loved it! I said to myself, "Self, you look great!". I showed my husband and he loved the look. I think the cardigan was the loose non clingy piece that I needed to still make it be me.
The second and third looks are my favorite! And guess what? They are body-cons! The dreaded body-con that I vowed I would never wear. But once again, I made sure to include a non-clingy sweater and jacket to make it more conducive to something I would wear. Once again, I put on these dresses and I loved them! Now....I did order these dresses a size bigger so that they would be more comfortable. If you're like me and it's not really your thing, your go too, order a size or two up. It doesn't have to be skin tight. Pair it with an over sized sweater or denim jacket like I did, make it work for you!
So what are your thoughts? Would you wear a body-con dress or bodysuit?
